The treatment is generally well tolerated. At adeera we advise not to use numbing cream. Without numbing cream, the skin responds more naturally, allowing for safer depth control, better circulation and optimal results. But it can be used at request if client prefers to.

Visible improvement may be seen after one session; however, for optimal and long-lasting results, a course of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is usually recommended.

Is there any downtime?

Mild redness, warmth or sensitivity is common and typically settles within 24–48 hours. Every individual varies, some may experience scabbing, flaking of the skin, redness, increased sensitivity. So expect longer downtime for some people.

Can I wear makeup after treatment?

Yes. Daily use of broad-spectrum SPF 50 is essential to protect the skin and maintain results.

Will I bleed?

Mild pinpoint bleeding can occur during microneedling, particularly in areas being treated more deeply. This is expected, minimal and safely managed, and usually subsides during the treatment. Varies with each individual.
